Version 1.5 of WPMarmite Pay has just been released, bringing its share of improvements for an even smoother, more customizable user experience. 🥳
Let’s take a look at what’s new in this post! Let’s start with the first improvement.
Creation of a default My Account page
The key new feature of this update is the automatic creation of a default “My Account” page, making it easier to set up the customer area on your site.
Customization of shortcodes
We’ve also enhanced the customizability of WPMarmite Pay buttons within the shortcode generator. You can now customize:
- the base color
- the hover color
- the border radius
It was a necessary evolution for a better integration within pages created with page builders like Elementor or Divi. Thanks to Sébastien for his request. 🙏
Incidentally, we plan to improve the management of shortcode styles in a future version, so that they can be saved.
Payment buttons update
Until now, an e-mail field was displayed to the left of the payment buttons when buyers clicked on them.
However, this posed a number of problems:
- The field could be small in size, reducing readability
- The default text was not fully readable
- The order button had no label (apart from an arrow)
For all these reasons, we decided to display the e-mail field above the order button.
Other significant changes
A number of important fixes have also been introduced:
- Administrators will now be prompted to initialize the Stripe portal so that they can access it without having placed an order (clicking on the portal button will no longer be ineffective).
- The wording of checkout buttons defined in the shortcode generator is now really included.
Version 1.5 further enhances the flexibility and reliability of WPMarmite Pay. And as always, further enhancements are already in the pipeline for future releases… 😉
See you soon for more news!
