WPMarmite Pay version 1.4 is now available! 🎉
This major update brings a number of enhancements for customizing the checkout page and an optimized administration interface.
We’ve introduced global Stripe settings that can be defined in the WPMarmite Pay settings, and serve as default values for your WPMarmite Pay blocks.
For example, you can now choose whether you want to charge VAT, authorize the entry of coupon codes (which you will have created on Stripe), collect a full address or telephone number from your customers.
The second key new feature is the customization of the account creation email. You now have a default template that you can customize to suit your needs.
For a better user experience, WPMarmite Pay’s settings interface has been restructured with tabs grouping the various settings in a logical way.
We have also redesigned role and access management for greater security and clarity:
- As customers do not have access to site administration, they are automatically redirected to their “Account” page (or to the home page if the latter is not defined in the settings).
- The administration bar is hidden for logged-in clients.
- WPMarmite Pay blocks and the dashboard widget for creating Stripe products are now restricted to administrators, editors and authors. These will be the only users able to view and add WPMarmite Pay blocks to the site.
The translations have also been revised for greater consistency.
This version 1.4 lays the foundations for an even smoother experience for managing your payments on WordPress. More new features are already in the works for future releases. 😉
See you soon for more news!
