How WPMarmite Pay was born
13 years after the birth of WPMarmite, Alex Borto (right 😉 ) and his team have launched various projects to help WordPress users achieve their goals.
On the marketing side, we were always faced with the same problem: designing a WooCommerce store…
You had to combine (and often pay for) additional plugins, configure dozens of settings and fiddle around for hours to get something that worked (and complied with legal requirements).
Our search for alternative solutions came up empty. We wanted something simple, quick to set up and easy for our customers to get to grips with.
That’s why we set out to create our own plugin, based on Stripe’s infrastructure, just like SaaS (online softwares) but directly connected to WordPress.
This is how WPMarmite Pay came into being.
If you’ve ever tried to launch an online store with a conventional solution like WooCommerce, you’ve probably already experienced this kind of situation:
- The maze of options: You spend hours digging through sub-menus to find how to change any little detail.
- Plugins galore: Every additional feature (like subscriptions or recurring payments) requires a plugin… and every plugin requires another plugin to work properly. It’s a Rube Goldberg machine.
- Updates from hell: You update WooCommerce or one of its plugins, and bam! Incompatibilities appear, your site slows down, and you find yourself scouring forums and documentation for a solution. The result? You spend more time dealing with bugs than selling your products.
With WPMarmite Pay, we want to offer you a simple alternative to WooCommerce for selling quickly on WordPress.
Look no further, you’ve come to the right place.
