Stripe’s test mode is an environment specially designed to enable you to test the integration and operation of transactions on your site, without handling real funds or impacting real customers.
This mode allows you to simulate transactions with fictitious credit cards supplied by Stripe, to check that everything is working correctly before switching to production mode.
To simulate a payment with a fictitious card, for example, you can use these payment details:
- number: 4242 4242 4242 4242
- expiry date: any future date
- CVC: any 3 digits
To activate test mode from your Stripe account, activate the switch at the top of the screen.
